Jamie
"Supreme Director of Programming"
After losing a bet to his best friend in high school in Casper Wyoming, Osborn began his radio career. What was the bet? No one can remember but as a result of that loss, Osborn had to apply for an on air job at a local station. They hired him. Throughout the years, the radio journey wound its way around the world. At one point Jamie's voice was heard on all 7 continents as host of American Dance Traxx. Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Puerto Rico and more have all been home.
Following the Great Recession of the mid 2000's Osborn ended up in the 4 Corners. First on the New Mexico side of the line and now on the Colorado side! "I've had the opportunity to work with some of the best in the business," Osborn said. "It's probably a lot easier to tell you who I haven't met when it comes to bands." The wall of the X-Rock Studio is adorned with a guitar autographed by the band Styx. "They were playing Vegas in 2006, I walked in with a guitar and they signed it for me," according to Osborn.
What's been the most interesting encounter? "It's a tie between sharing a bathroom urinal with Ozzy Osbourne at a Los Angeles radio station and Gene Simmons of Kiss handing me his bass and having me play "Lick It Up" live on the air with him and Paul Stanley." Wow, so why Durango? "The team at X-Rock is one of the best I have ever worked with, the facility is state of the art and the community is amazing. The lifestyle is perfect here and you are never bored." OK Jamie, we'll keep you around for another month.....
